Ajith much awaited ‘Billa 2’ Tamil Nadu theatrical rights have bagged by V Ravichandran of Aascar Films for a record price.
The producer of the film Sunir Khetrapal confirmed the news and said that “’Billa 2’ TN theatrical rights sold to Aascar Ravichandran, Only Kerala Theatrical rights yet to be sold. Look out for promotions in May.”
There is an unconfirmed report that the V Ravichandran sold the TN theatrical rights around Rs. 24.11 crore and another Rs. 2 crore thrown in for Prints & Ads (P & A).
The film has Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah in the female lead role and it was directed by Chakri Toleti.
Yuvan Shakar Raja has scoring music for the film. ‘Billa 2’ album has totally 6 songs including theme music.
The film audio will launch on the star Ajith Kumar’s Birthday (May 1st). The Telugu dubbing version of the film has been titled as ‘David Billa – The Beginning’. SVR Media has acquired the dubbing rights of the film.
‘Billa 2’ will be hit the screens on June 1st, 2012.
