K.V. Anand’s Maattrraan which has Surya and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles had excellent first weekend at USA box office.

The film has debuted at 21st place in USA box office and the film has Rs. 1,63,83,429 ($309,000) on 63 screens in its opening weekend and the average work out per screen Rs. 2,60,014 ($4,904) in USA BO.

Maattrraan has turned as the 2nd highest opening weekend grosser for a Tamil film in USA after Rajinikanth Starrer Endhiran which is collected $ 15,20,108 on 64 screens in its opening weekend.

The Telugu version of the film Brothers has collected Rs. 8,32,426 ($15,700) on 28 screens and average working out per screen Rs. 26,510 ($500) in the first weekend at USA.
